Position OverviewDefy Medical is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our dynamic team. The Patient Services Team is essential in executing the patient care strategy.

A successful Patient Services Representative at Defy Medical is personable and passionate about helping others. They possess the ability to quickly adapt to new software applications. Key skills include multitasking, effective communication, and critical thinking. Exceptional customer service is fundamental to thriving in this position.Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients, medical assistants, and nursing staff within the organization.
- Uphold client and employee confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Clarify treatment processes to patients and offer follow-up education.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments or directing calls as necessary.
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls.
- Review voicemails and return calls to customers.
- Maintain daily email correspondence with patients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Organize and keep workspaces, supplies, and equipment tidy.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and apply problem-solving skills to address client concerns, ensuring satisfaction through follow-up.
- Responsibilities may evolve at any time with or without notice.
- Must be available for training in the Tampa Office.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare preferred.
- High School Diploma required (associates in healthcare preferred).
- Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities to provide excellent customer service.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate with individuals at all levels.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including phone and email etiquette.
- Ability to learn and utilize various computer programs effectively.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking capabilities.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 12:15 PM to 9:00 PM
