Position Overview:

This role involves serving as a senior developer within a governmental framework, focusing on the comprehensive delivery of mobile solutions.

The chosen candidate will collaborate with enterprise architects, development teams, and business stakeholders to conduct system and data analysis, ensuring the effective delivery of mobile products and functionalities.

Technology assessments will encompass various systems and data repositories, aiming to identify service gaps and eliminate redundancies in both functionality and data.

Based on these evaluations, the selected individual will create designs, proposals, prototypes, and other necessary artifacts to align with the enterprise vision and implement strategies for the mobile platform.

The architecture will emphasize efficient functionality delivery, data integrity, and engaging user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

All deliverables must adhere to industry best practices and standards as defined by the governing body. Most tasks will involve API integrations with applications hosted on a standardized cloud platform. Some tasks may also involve integrations with applications on virtual server technology.

Specific activities include:

  • Analyzing and documenting technical requirements.
  • Producing solution prototypes.
  • Participating in technology selection processes.
  • Communicating project constraints, including risks, timelines, resources, and scope.
  • Mentoring developers at all levels in the design, development, assembly, testing, and deployment of complex software systems.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in DevSecOps practices, focusing on reducing total ownership costs and enhancing future maintenance.

Key deliverables will ensure compliance with customer requirements for security, accessibility, and functionality.



Additional Work Details:

  • Full-time contract, 40 hours per week; standard work hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
  • Remote work environment.
  • Attendance at central office may be required for meetings and collaborative sessions.
  • Must have a current background check.
  • Compliance with existing procedures and policies is expected.

Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 8 years

Proficiency with iOS SDK and native iOS languages (Objective C, Swift, SwiftUI)

Experience in object-oriented development

Familiarity with web services and data synchronization

Experience in relational database development

Minimum of 5 years

Comprehensive understanding of the iOS SDLC as an application developer

Familiarity with the latest iOS APIs and frameworks, including JSON

Experience with Core Data framework

Proficiency in iOS Auto Layout and UX design

Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, React

Experience with Azure DevOps

Minimum of 3 years

Expertise in web service design & development (SOAP/XML and REST/JSON)

Experience in architecting mobile web applications

Familiarity with various authentication protocols

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in designing for various platform technologies.
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
  • Experience optimizing for accessibility features.
  • Ability to develop products that meet accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience incorporating accessibility testing into the development lifecycle.
  • Experience in building products where accessibility compliance is integral to the development process.
