Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Coordinator to join our team at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating K-20 academic preparation initiatives in collaboration with K-12 partner schools and local community colleges.
The Program Coordinator will work under the general supervision of the Office of Education Partnerships (OEP) Executive Director and will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the K-20 initiative, including academic and cultural enrichment, college-bound advising, mentorship, and community service resources for students and families enrolled in OEP academic preparation programs.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related area, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working with educational equity programs serving diverse student populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage K-20 initiative services and provide support to other academic preparation programs under the Office of Education Partnerships.
- Establish and maintain regular contact with OEP Executive Director and staff, partner school district personnel, community agencies, and key staff to ensure the integrity and adequacy of data collected.
- Assist with the preparation of annual and interim reports and provide support on K-20 student data collection as required by the campus and other funding entities.
- Represent the Office of Education Partnerships at various community events, committee meetings, and on-campus and UC system-wide advisory and working groups as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with educational equity programs serving diverse student populations.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with school district administrators, school counselors, principals, teachers, and community contacts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in data management, data queries, and/or reporting.
- 1-3 years of experience in presenting information to groups of students or other audiences.
- Significant experience advising and supporting educationally disadvantaged students regarding postsecondary opportunities and careers.
Special Conditions of Employment:
- CANRA (U13): Mandated reporting requirements of Child Abuse.
- Maintain a valid CA driver's license, a clean DMV record, and enrollment in the DMV Employee Pull-Notice Program.
- Satisfactory conviction history background check.
- UCSB is a Tobacco-Free environment.
