Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will utilize purposeful activities and interventions to maximize the independence and maintenance of health of individuals limited by physical injury or illness, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, developmental or learning disability, or adverse environmental condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat individuals to develop daily living skills, work readiness, play skills, or leisure capacities
  • Provide education and consultation to individuals, families, or other persons
  • Develop and implement interventions to enhance sensory-motor, perceptual, or neuromuscular functioning, range of motion, or emotional, motivational, cognitive, or psychosocial components of performance

Requirements:

  • Current state license in good standing with the State Board
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate accurately and precisely to patients and family members
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
