We are seeking a skilled Clerk II to join our team in Sioux City, IA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of Woodbury County.

**Job Description:**

  • This role involves working closely with the public, handling various tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
  • You will be responsible for issuing titles, registration renewals, and other related duties as required by legislative policies and procedures.

**Essential Duties:**

  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public.
  • Handle taxpayer inquiries related to real estate, mobile homes, and other taxes collected by the County Treasurer.
  • Issue titles, registration renewals, and perform duties related to motor vehicle department responsibilities.
  • Transfer titles, including issuing junking certificates, replacement titles, and registration renewals.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including assisting with tax sales and maintaining physical and electronic files.

**Requirements:**

  • A High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) is required.
  • Specific knowledge of rules or operations for a particular functional area or areas acquired in one to three years of prior related experience.
  • Experience working with Excel, Microsoft, and Outlook is essential.
  • Ability to keyboard and 10-key type accurately.
  • Ability to learn County software.
  • Personal maturity to safeguard confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with others in clearly spoken English.

**Salary Range:** $19.24 - $25.50 per hour.
