Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate purchase orders (POs) and requests for quotations (RFQs) to vendors based on production schedules.
  • Assist in identifying potential new supplier collaborations to meet operational demands.
  • Verify that all shipments meet the specified orders and report any discrepancies or missing items.
  • Support the Purchasing Manager in monitoring inventory levels and materials consistently.
  • Contribute to the analysis and evaluation of cost structures and supplier performance to ensure the best overall value for the company.
  • Address discrepancies and issues in invoices and purchases in collaboration with the accounting and production teams.
  • Foster effective communication across various departments (e.g., Production, Engineering, Sales, Warehousing).
  • Establish and maintain targeted raw material levels across different commodity categories within warehouse limitations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of procurement experience.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally related to trailers, RVs, automotive, boats, or aluminum extrusion.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
