The laboratory teams at Samaritan Health Services are responsible for analyzing various samples, including blood and other bodily fluids, to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. Our labs operate 24/7, ensuring timely testing for both inpatients and outpatients. All facilities are accredited and comply with national standards set by regulatory bodies.
Qualifications- Must be actively pursuing or have completed an approved pathway to become a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- Certification from ASCP, AMT, or an equivalent body is required within one year of employment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data collection and interpretation.
- Proficient knowledge in laboratory medicine, including clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and molecular biology.
- Understanding of quality assurance principles and compliance monitoring practices.
- Excellent customer service skills, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information and provide training to new staff.
The role may involve various physical demands, including lifting, carrying, and manual dexterity tasks, which are essential for performing laboratory procedures effectively.
