Your Role:
The Corporate Tax Manager will oversee the organization’s Federal and State income tax compliance operations. This position will also provide assistance during Federal and State income tax audits, including addressing notices. Furthermore, the role will involve collaboration on ASC 740/FIN 48 matters and working closely with external auditors for financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Federal and State income tax compliance processes.
- Support the calculation of the quarterly and annual effective tax rates for ASC 740 and FIN 48.
- Assist with Federal and State income tax audits as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in team management or project leadership.
- Certified Public Accountant designation is mandatory.
- Intermediate understanding of U.S. and State income tax regulations.
- Intermediate knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles related to income taxes.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in CorpTax Compliance system, SAP, and Hyperion.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while collaborating effectively with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Proactive and innovative mindset with creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Supervisory Duties:
- Supervise and guide a team of six to eight direct reports along with multiple external consultants.
- Provide leadership and direction within the financial reporting department.
- Conduct supervisory responsibilities in alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and addressing employee concerns.
