Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of telecommunications systems, including central office equipment, transmission systems, and special circuits.
- Installation and Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain central office equipment, transmission systems, and special circuits to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to telecommunications systems, using computer applications, testing devices, and other tools as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and provide technical support as needed.
- Knowledge and Skills: Stay up-to-date with industry technology and trends, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Education: Associate's degree in a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in maintaining switches, routers, fiber optic cables, and other equipment at switching hubs or central offices.
- Skills: Proficient in computer applications, testing devices, and other tools related to telecommunications systems.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to central offices and other locations as needed. The ideal candidate will possess excellent physical and mental stamina, with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a variety of environments.
