Job Summary:

OakBend Medical Center is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiological services to patients according to physician orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide radiological services to patients according to physician orders.
  • Ensure patient safety and high-quality testing.
  • Operate MRI equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Previous experience in MRI.
  • Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible within 90 days of hire.
  • Current registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedure.
  • Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT).
  • American Heart Association BLS required.

Work Schedule:

This department is staffed to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. It may require working weekends and holidays as well as taking call on weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Generally scheduled 8 hour shifts. Schedules and work shifts may be changed in respect to patient procedure demands and hospital census.

Additional Information:

During low census or low procedure volumes, staff may be required to float to other OakBend locations where deemed competent, flex hours, or rotate days off without pay.
