Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Nutritional Services Associate to join our Food Services Department. This role is essential in delivering quality meal services to our patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to patients in a timely and appealing manner.
  • Assist patients with their food service requests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Deliver patient trays while adhering to established customer service standards.
  • Act as a communication bridge between patients and the Food Service and Nutrition Departments.
  • Assemble meal trays accurately, following food safety practices and presentation standards.
  • Utilize hospital information systems to manage patient dietary information effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support efficient service delivery.
  • Comply with all regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hospital diets and adapt service techniques to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training sessions to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of required nutrition in-service classes is mandatory.
  • 1-3 years of general work experience preferred, with a focus on institutional food service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate hospital information systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Self-motivated with efficient work habits and a collaborative spirit.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects.
  • Exposure to various kitchen elements and cleaning supplies.
