Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and relevant regulations.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of lab and imaging reports, as well as referral documentation. Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance details.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all medical instruments are ready for use, adhering to cleanliness and safety protocols.
  • Assist in patient flow by escorting individuals to their designated areas and supporting them with various needs during their visit.
  • Handle incoming calls, providing necessary information and patient education as required.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory procedures, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards and maintain confidentiality of patient information, following all organizational policies.
  • Under physician supervision, administer medications and vaccinations as needed.

A high school diploma or equivalent is essential, along with foundational computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology.

Certifications Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting
  • Act 33 Clearance
  • Act 34 Clearance
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
