About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Coordinator to join our team at Loyola University Health System. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of point-of-care testing (POCT) programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in the preparation of testing procedures and provide regulatory updates as needed to ensure compliance with CLIA standards, CAP accreditation guidelines, and institutional requirements.
  • Point-of-Care Performance: Ensure the establishment of appropriate POC procedures throughout all phases of specimen handling, testing, resulting, and reporting.
  • Education and Training: Participate in training, orientation, and ongoing continuing education of personnel using point of care testing resources.
  • Provider Support: Evaluate and recommend new instruments, products, procedures, and methods in coordination with the Regional Manager & Medical Director.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Medical Lab Science Program
  • Experience: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
  • Certifications: Certified Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or specialty certificate (ASCP or AMT)
