Position Overview:

This role entails the execution of Electrical Engineering design tasks for the integration of aircraft systems, focusing on avionics enhancements and power distribution within the Military Aircraft sector. The candidate will support ongoing modifications to aircraft systems, encompassing the application of electrical requirements, design, integration, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical interface and power testing, planning, and verification in both laboratory settings and on aircraft, including troubleshooting and resolving interface challenges.
  • Work overtime as necessary and travel as required for business objectives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Onsite work at the Waco, TX facility is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes (less than 10%).
  • Availability to work overtime as required.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field from an accredited institution is strongly preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a graduate degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of experience may be considered. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Intermediate proficiency with electrical CAD tools such as Visual Engineer, AutoCAD Electrical, or Capital Harness.
  • Familiarity with military and aircraft design standards including SAE AS50881, MIL-STD-704, and others.
  • Understanding of digital and analog interface signals, including limitations like allowable voltage drop and timing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce professional documentation and reports.
  • Capability to manage budgets and schedules, act as a task leader within the electrical engineering team, and mentor junior engineers in integration design and testing.
