At OhioGuidestone, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Master's Level Social Work Intern to join our team in Summit County.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Following through until the issues are resolved or handled by the appropriate person

  • Exhibiting positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required
  • Demonstrating positive leadership, promoting an inclusive work environment and presenting the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts

Additional responsibilities for clinical services include:

  • Developing a professional relationship with each client
  • Providing services within your scope and as clinically appropriate
  • Being available for clinical consultation
  • Maintaining ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals, parents or outside agency professionals assigned to case
  • Providing minor case management functions if needed
  • Assuming a strong advocacy role for clients and making recommendations for clinical and support services needed upon discharge
  • Actively participating in treatment conferences and meetings for the clients
  • Completing all paperwork required by the agency within designated time frames
  • Participating in agency and community meetings as needed

Requirements include:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant field for the area of internship
  • CT, MFT-T, SWT is required for working with clients in Graduate level Internships
  • Mission driven; strong desire to make an impact
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people across multiple forms of communication
  • Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
  • Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and independently work to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required
  • Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
  • Must be able to access work locations, including agency offices, school based settings, and places in the community including client homes, as necessary
  • Accessing work sites may include ascending/descending stairs
  • English reading and writing skills required
  • Interacts verbally with coworkers and representatives from outside agencies
  • Confidentiality required
  • Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance
  • Successfully meet pre-employment drug screen and background requirements

We require and cover the cost of a fingerprint background screening, physical, Tuberculosis test, and drug screen after an employment offer is made. Any employment offer is contingent upon receipt of all satisfactory pre-employment screenings.
