Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Performance & Best Business Practices
    • Weld metal components in various positions.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
    • Monitor the welding process to avoid overheating or warping of parts.
    • Provide backup or assistance throughout the facility as needed.
  • Equipment & Maintenance
    • Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the proper supervisor.
    • Maintain welding equipment and replace as needed.
  • Internal Control Responsibilities
    • Support the company's Internal Control process.
    • Communicate upward problems in operations or noncompliance with company policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in the welding field is preferred.
  • Ability to decipher technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Working Conditions

This position is regularly exposed to all weather conditions. Physical hazards such as noise, fumes, and dirt are present due to the equipment, machinery, and scrap. Safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, face shields, and additional personal protective equipment must be worn to eliminate risks.

Physical Activities
  • Ability to sit rarely; stand and walk frequently on uneven ground.
  • Shift and adjust up to 100 pounds consistently.
  • Crouch or bend at the knees consistently to move or access materials or equipment.
  • Stoop or bend at the waist consistently to move materials.
  • Reach at arm's length and overhead frequently.
  • Twist and turn at the neck and trunk continually.
  • Climb occasionally when obtaining items.

This position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and visual acuity for close detail work. Mental dexterity is also required for independent work and attention to detail.
