Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at National Jewish Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct thorough physical exams, gather patient data, and make informed decisions to ensure optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with our nursing staff, medical staff, and other support services to identify and address patient needs and concerns.
- Monitor patient progress, revise care plans as needed, and ensure timely communication with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Develop and present educational programs to community groups, organizations, or individuals on clinically current topics.
- Participate in quality improvement projects, contribute to the development of policies and procedures, and maintain current knowledge of clinical practice guidelines.
Requirements
- Current Certification by a national certifying body as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Graduate degree preferred, but also required for all NPs who were not already on the Colorado Advanced Practice Registry as of June 30, 2008.
- A minimum of two (2) years of recent and related experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Current Colorado RN license and APN license required.
- Healthcare provider level CPR/BLS required every 2 years.
