Midea America Corp., a leading home appliance brand, is seeking a talented R&D Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Retail AC team, you will be responsible for designing and prototyping new concepts, as well as advanced development and future innovation for our product categories.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with international R&D teams to develop innovative product designs and solutions.
- Participate in product planning and future innovation roadmap processes to drive business growth.
- Take a hands-on approach to advanced development and prototyping to prove feasibility and drive innovation.
- Lead competitive analysis and teardowns to stay ahead of the competition.
- Work independently and with a small team to recommend product improvements and new features based on product feedback and consumer research.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to organize and execute a strategy.
- Experience with component and system level reliability testing.
- Goal-oriented and self-managed with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
- History of working with global colleagues.
- Previous experience with HVAC and packaged terminal air conditioner experience strongly preferred.
