ManTech is looking for a driven, career-focused Principal Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment and upkeep of IT system infrastructure that underpins sensitive national security operations.
  • Design and implement systems or network architectures that accommodate multiple enclaves with varying data protection and classification standards.
  • Conduct security planning, assessments, risk evaluations, and management.
  • Propose system-level solutions to meet security requirements.
  • Assist the Government in enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
  • Develop and integrate security-related products at an enterprise level into the existing environment.
  • Engage in the change management process, reviewing Change Requests and assessing the security implications of proposed modifications.
  • Oversee system recovery processes to ensure that security features and functions are restored and operational following an outage.
  • Collaborate on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases for integration within the production IT environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with information networks and associated security challenges; or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • DoD / DoD IAT III Level certification is required; CISSP is preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise IT/IA solutions.
  • Familiarity with various IA tools for audit collection, review, management, and endpoint protection (e.g., HBSS, McAfee ePO, ENS, DLP).
  • Proficient in using Splunk, RHEL 7+, ACAS, and Tenable.
  • Experience with security measures related to modern Windows, Linux, UNIX, Cisco, SQL or Oracle databases, and virtualized systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background and experience with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53, or DCID 6/3, along with knowledge of current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD.
  • Splunk Enterprise Architect certification with experience in implementation and dashboard creation is highly desirable.
  • Experience performing duties as a Designated Trusted Agent (DTA).

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.
  • Willingness to undergo a random polygraph examination.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
  • Frequently position oneself to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in server closets.
  • Regularly communicate with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information.
