Production Supervisor

FXI is a leading producer of foam innovation in various markets, including Bedding, Furniture, Industrial, Home & Office, Healthcare, and Transportation. We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team at our Orange, CA plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure orders are completed and shipped at the lowest possible cost while producing a quality part that is acceptable to the customer and profitable for the Company.
- Instruct and oversee employees to perform their duties in a safe, accurate, professional, and timely manner.
- Responsible for production yields, and inventory control for assigned shift and area.
- Enter absences and vacation into the time and attendance system, ADP.
- Evaluate employee performance and pursue corrective action for rule violations.
- Complete Hourly Performance Reviews and On The Job Training forms for hourly and temporary employees.
- Notify management of employee issues in a timely manner.
- Responsible for distribution and channeling of orders through the production areas.
- Adjust manpower as required by production.
- Ensure the production schedule is being produced daily.
- Maintain flow of information to and from employees concerning work requirements, new policies, and new methods of operations.
- Manage Safety responsibilities, including ensuring employees are in compliance with safety and environmental rules.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and manager safety incidents.
- Oversee production and perform periodic inspections of the production/plant area.
- Plan and coordinate production of quality foam at the lowest possible cost.
- Complete paperwork timely and check equipment for problems.
- Recommend and implement improved working methods.
- Work together as a Supervisor team to maximize plant output.
- Address problems in the production area and control overtime.
- Maximize foam yield and ensure shortages are added to the truck by shift end.
- College Degree preferred.
- Ability to read/write/speak/understand English and Spanish.
- Strong communication skills and ability to motivate/lead teams.
- 3-5 years supervisor experience in manufacturing field required.
- Lean experience needed, 5S experience also preferred.
- SAP experience preferred or any similar ERP system experience.
- Familiar with OSHA protocols and how to cultivate a safe working environment.
- Available for call-in when necessary.
Shift/Schedule: 2nd - Monday through Friday 3pm-12pm
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
