Job Summary

The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of designated projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contractual terms. As the primary point of contact for customers and vendors, they will monitor project costs, attend meetings, and protect Oldcastle's interests throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and address needs throughout the project lifecycle, including change orders, schedule adjustments, and collection activities.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure timely completion.
  • Review sales proposals to ensure accurate estimating, staffing, and subcontracting requirements.
  • Conduct turnover/kick-off meetings to ensure project scope, estimate, and paperwork are complete, and begin scheduling the project.
  • Prepare change order proposals in a timely manner, whether requested by the customer or generated by Oldcastle.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively problem-solve to expedite project completion.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure customer needs are met, and resolve issues promptly, including change orders, schedule adjustments, and collection activities.
  • Purchase and receive special items required for each order.
  • Manage submittals and approvals as required.
  • Communicate with the Transportation Manager to coordinate initial delivery needs.
  • Collaborate with other project managers and the plant manager to manage the long-term schedule, minimizing conflicts with molds, labor, and other resources.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of project management experience, preferably in the construction or precast concrete industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
