Job Summary

Stardom Employment Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements and reports, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Close Process Support: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking, to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on budget variances, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Internal and External Audit Support: Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Accounting Policy and Procedure Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Budget and Forecast Preparation: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and transparency, providing timely and accurate financial information to support business operations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in Agriculture, Construction, or Manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, strong organizational and time-management skills, effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Certification: CPA or working towards certification is a plus.
