Work Schedule: Standard hours, Monday to Friday.
Employment Type: Contract position with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established experimental designs and protocols, performing routine tasks to achieve reliable outcomes.
- Plan, conduct, and analyze experiments, providing insightful data interpretations.
- Adapt experimental methods from literature to practical applications in the laboratory.
- Develop and refine new protocols with moderate oversight.
- Engage in scientific discussions with colleagues to foster collaboration.
- Effectively communicate findings and interpretations to the team.
- Implement systems to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Demonstrate proficiency with standard laboratory equipment and specialized instruments.
- Troubleshoot equipment and experimental challenges effectively.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and regulatory documentation.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, including safety and recruitment efforts.
- May provide training and supervision to junior staff.
- Organize resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
- Exercise sound judgment in decision-making and when to seek guidance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry or a related discipline with two or more years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree in Biochemistry or a related field with one or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a biopharmaceutical environment.
- Proficiency in Protein Purification techniques (e.g., Affinity, HPLC, AKTA).
- Experience in protein purification and characterization methods.
- Familiarity with mammalian cell expression systems.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
