Join our team at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited as a Loan Syndications Marketing Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the loan syndication process, including origination, distribution, and execution of syndicated loan financings. You will work closely with other departments to develop market-based structures and innovative capital raising solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor market trends to identify active participants, prevailing market terms and pricing, market depth, and other factors influencing lending and underwriting decisions.
- Advise and pitch to clients on market status, optimal structures, and syndication strategies for best execution in the syndicated loan capital markets.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop market-based structures and innovative capital raising solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with other banks and non-bank institutions to gather market intelligence during the origination process and assess market capacity during syndication.
- Work closely with other departments to originate syndicated loan mandates and execute transactions once mandated.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field with at least 5 years of related experience.
- 2+ years of loan agency and administration experience preferred.
- General knowledge of banking principles and/or loan markets.
- Excellent organization skills and detail-oriented.
- Good interpersonal skills for a team-oriented environment.
- Advanced in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Access).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
