We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation protection and control projects for electric utilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV
- Use knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits to design substation electrical projects
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to assess the impacts of design changes on other disciplines
- Prepare project deliverables, including engineered drawings, technical reports, and correspondence
- Provide construction support and work with clients and national standards to implement design
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Four (4+) or more years of substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal team and clients
- Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure situations
