Position Summary
The Production Line Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and compliance with established food safety protocols, including Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). This position involves identifying potential food safety risks and adhering to various regulatory standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Attributes: The successful candidate will possess a preference for hands-on tasks and practical problem-solving. They will excel in environments that demand precision, reliability, self-discipline, stress management, teamwork, and ethical conduct. These characteristics should be considered during the recruitment and interview process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Verify that label adjustments on machinery are accurate.
- Ensure the correct cap color and date codes are applied to containers.
- Perform filler flushing operations.
- Collect samples and conduct tests in the Quality Control Department.
- Complete daily reporting tasks.
- Second shift personnel are tasked with sanitation duties, including hand cleaning and managing hoses, while handling cleaning agents.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Maintain physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and navigate stairs frequently throughout the day.
- Utilize hand tools and engage in repetitive tasks.
- Remain on feet for the entirety of the shift.
- Work a schedule of 4-5 days per week.
