Responsibilities- Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluate staffing patterns to meet the needs of residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
- Administer medication/treatments as prescribed.
- Receive, transcribe, and implement physician's orders.
- Implement and evaluate care plans.
- Identify/secures equipment supplies.
- Direct/oversee subordinates.
- Participate in duty assignments.
- Organize/coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
- Oversee/monitor function and activities of subordinate staff.
- Evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate action discipline/training.
- Monitor infection control compliance.
- Investigate/documents accidents/incidents.
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
- Previous skilled nursing experience.
- Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
