LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job Description

Montevista Rehabilitation and Skilled Care is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Lawton, OK. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a customer-service-friendly environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet the needs of residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
  • Administer medication/treatments as prescribed and receive, transcribe, and implement physician's orders.
  • Implement and evaluate care plans, identify/secures equipment supplies, and direct/oversee subordinates.
  • Participate in duty assignments, organize/coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments, and oversee/monitor function and activities of subordinate staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate action, discipline/training, and monitor infection control compliance.
  • Investigate/documents accidents/incidents.
Requirements:
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Previous skilled nursing experience.
  • Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
