Survey Technician Opportunity

Control Point Associates is seeking an experienced Survey Technician to join our team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring CAD Drafters, reviewing plans for accuracy and completeness, and assisting with project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and mentor CAD Drafters to ensure high-quality plans
  • Assist Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers with surveying tasks
  • Create mapping from field crew data collector files, field sketches, and digital photographs
  • Plot deeds and reference maps
  • Prepare survey data for field crews and analyze post-survey field data
  • Perform construction layout calculations, as-built surveys, and sketches
  • Prepare grade sheets, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and topographic analyses
  • Develop Metes & Bounds descriptions and FEMA Elevation certificates
  • Prepare Subdivision Plans and Lot Consolidation Plans
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of surveying experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail
  • Proven record of producing clean and accurate plan presentations
  • Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team member
