As a dedicated full-time Facilities Maintenance Attendant within the Housekeeping Department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring public areas are kept in pristine condition.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, hallways, staircases, and other designated areas.
- Utilize both light and heavy-duty cleaning equipment to sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, strip, and polish surfaces.
- Operate industrial machinery for cleaning carpets, drapes, and similar items.
- Conduct routine maintenance on cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Disinfect and deodorize restroom facilities to uphold sanitation standards.
- Dust and clean assigned areas, including emptying trash receptacles.
- Occasionally make beds and change linens as required.
- Wash walls, windows, blinds, and ceiling fixtures, utilizing ladders and safety equipment when necessary.
- Move heavy furniture as needed to facilitate cleaning.
- Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and equipment to effectively carry out duties.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- Ability to follow directions and comprehend signage.
- Basic knowledge of common cleaning agents, tools, and equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with various cleaning and sanitizing solutions, along with the ability to remove stains from diverse surfaces.
- Skills to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on cleaning equipment.
- Capability to maintain a tidy work environment and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Physical Requirements
- The role requires standing and walking on various surfaces, with some bending, lifting, and moving of items or carts weighing between 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally exceeding 50 pounds.
