About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator - DB2 LUW Admin to join our team at Innova Solutions. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for providing operational support for the DB2-UDB database environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive operational support for the DB2-UDB database environment, including installation, patching, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain complex shell scripts for operational maintenance and automation, with a focus on DevOps principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor and refine processes, procedures, and systems to optimize operational stability and integrity, and recommend and implement improvements as needed.
  • Administer audit-based processes for evaluating and submitting evidence, and update processes and documentation as required.
  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and provide support for BCP exercises and actual disaster recovery scenarios.
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with DB2 HA/TSAMP and partitioning.
  • Good command of DB2 basic concepts and principles.
  • Ability to write complex shell scripts for operational maintenance and automation.
  • DevOps mindset and basic knowledge of Gitlab.
  • Experience with Ansible, Docker, and other automation tools.
  • Highly skilled in DB2 LUW administration, including installation, patching, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
