Williamson Health is in search of a dedicated Operating Room Technician for our Labor & Delivery department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal patient care through daily hygiene practices, data collection, and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team. This position offers the chance to thrive in a vibrant and innovative atmosphere, delivering exceptional and compassionate care to our patients.
Qualifications
- Certification as a surgical technician with a valid scrub tech certification is mandatory.
- Completion of high school education or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience as a scrub tech or graduation from a recognized scrub tech program is essential.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Primary Duties
- Work collaboratively with the labor and delivery surgical team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Uphold a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Safely manage and prepare medications and solutions in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Assist in maintaining the surgical suite and labor and delivery settings.
- Support the development and orientation of new staff members.
