Job Overview

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a skilled Restaurant Busperson to join our team. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our dining areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock and maintain supplies in all service areas
  • Inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use
  • Clear soiled plates, service ware, etc. from service areas and tables to dish wash area, sort appropriately
  • Clean and pre-set tables with all service ware
  • Greet guests and assist Server with delivery of water and beverages
  • Remove unneeded place settings from occupied tables
  • Carry trays of food from kitchen to table
  • May assist Server in presentation of meals for large parties and during periods of heavy volume
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary condition of dining room and service areas
  • Assist in completion of post meal clean up and side work duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times
  • Notify appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
  • Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow team members
  • Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Comply with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules
  • Recycle whenever possible
  • Remain current with hotel information and changes
  • Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, lift, and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
