About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical techniques, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during surgical procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current National Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
