Patient Care Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join the patient care team at Carilion Clinic, a renowned healthcare provider. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our medical team.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing basic nursing care, including taking vital signs, assisting with bathing and toileting, and supporting patients with their daily needs. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide basic nursing care to patients, including taking vital signs and assisting with daily needs.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Transport patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Document patient observations and report any concerns to licensed staff.
- Contribute to performance improvement activities and participate in ongoing education and training.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Close attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (CPR) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Certified Nursing Assistant license preferred.
