Knowledge Services is seeking a Lead Eligibility Coordinator to guide and support a team of Eligibility Assistants dedicated to assisting residents with public assistance applications and services.

The Lead Eligibility Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact between Knowledge Services, DFR Management, and the Eligibility Assistant team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to foster a collaborative environment among team members. A solid understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Eligibility Assistants is crucial.

Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support Eligibility Assistant staff

- Travel to DFR offices as required

- Provide coaching and guidance to team members

- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures set by DFR Management

- Implement procedural updates from management

- Prepare and submit regular reports on team activities

- Offer ongoing training and support to Eligibility Assistants

- Provide production support as necessary

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Eligibility Assistant is essential

- Strong organizational and analytical skills

- Ability to communicate clear and concise instructions

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities

- Patience and understanding in team interactions

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Self-motivated and capable of working independently

- Background in customer service is preferred

- A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services is advantageous, though a High School Diploma or GED is required

- At least 2 years of experience in a social service setting or government role is preferred.


This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within the community and support the development of Eligibility Assistants. Ongoing training will be provided to ensure success in this position.


Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting and handling of objects are required.

Occasional standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary.

Vision Requirements:
Ability to view information in print and/or electronically.

Location:
The primary location for this role will be determined based on candidate selection, with office visits assigned as needed.
