Job Title: Assistant Retail Management

As an Assistant Retail Management professional at Aldi, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores. Your responsibilities will include assisting with supervising day-to-day store activities, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans to improve store performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports
  • Understand and communicate company strategy and core values to employees
  • Monitor competitive environment and inform direct leader of necessary adjustments
  • Provide product feedback and recommendations to direct leader
  • Participate in interviewing process for store personnel
  • Communicate information to employees, including weekly updates and major team milestones
  • Ensure store personnel adhere to inventory procedures and cash control policies
  • Identify and rectify hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics and maintaining store equipment
  • Maintain store cleanliness standards and proper store signage
  • Assist direct leader with achieving store payroll and total loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
  • Ability to establish goals, guide employee performance, and evaluate performance
