About the Role:

Baker Book House Company is seeking a dedicated Editorial Assistant to join our editorial team. This role involves collaborating with project editors and providing comprehensive support throughout the editorial workflow.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate reprint adjustments in partnership with design and production teams to ensure timely project completion.
  • Edit and manage materials from marketing and visual communications, including promotional content and product covers.
  • Assist editors with various editorial tasks such as proofreading and index reviews.
  • Conduct final checks during the book production phase, including preproduction assessments and reviews of proofs and digital files.
  • Perform routine administrative duties, such as organizing editorial meetings and preparing necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree in biblical studies, theology, or a related discipline, with a keen interest in academic publishing within the religious sector. Proficiency in proofreading is essential. Candidates should exhibit strong editorial skills, a keen eye for detail, and basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word.

Compensation and Benefits:
