Job Overview

Primebank is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating and qualifying mortgage loan applicants, initiating compliance procedures, and marketing products and services to solicit new business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition
    • Meet with loan applicants to gather personal information and answer questions about mortgage loan products
    • Obtain and verify financial information in order to conduct analysis used in evaluating loan applications
  • Loan Origination
    • Enter a decision on loans within established mortgage lending guidelines; document decision analysis and properly communicate with customer on next steps
    • Facilitate the closing process which includes scheduling with involved parties, communicating requirements, and presenting closings
  • Business Development
    • Actively conduct business development activities including establishing relationships with real estate professionals and builders, and monitoring existing portfolio
    • Recommend other Primebank products and services to mortgage customers
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College degree or equivalent work experience
    • Two or more years of mortgage origination or processing experience
    • Able to complete NMLS license
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proven sales and business development skills
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to interpret regulations, policies, and procedures to solve customer service and record keeping problems
    • Working knowledge and demonstrated ability to operate computers and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
