About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Your tasks will include preparing proposals and cost estimates, actively participating in on-the-job safety tools, reviewing job packs, identifying safety issues, and executing work as planned.

This role requires strong communication skills, ability to clearly describe conditions in the field, and recommend remediation steps. You must be a team player with effective teamwork skills and the ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
  • Participate in on-the-job safety tools and review job packs.
  • Identify safety issues and execute work as planned.
  • Provide feedback on job pack improvements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Discipline-specific certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly describe conditions in the field.
  • Teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
Desirable Skills

Experience with plunger pumps, centrifugal pumps, gas engines, and compressors would be beneficial.
