Job Responsibilities

This role involves troubleshooting die cast dies that are not functioning as designed. The successful candidate will make minor corrections to dies that are not making parts print, replacing cores, date codes, or ejector pins, etc. They will also disassemble and assemble casting dies, performing routine and preventative scheduled maintenance.

The essential functions of this job include:

  • Assembling casting dies
  • Troubleshooting non-functioning dies
  • Making repairs to dies while they are on a die-cast machine
  • Creating maintenance work requisitions for repairs to die maintenance equipment
  • Reading prints and using measuring equipment
  • Using AutoVue to view designs
  • Setting limit switches and final fitting slide(s) and slide locks
  • Operating ejector pin grinders, hydraulic cavity extraction equipment, and hydraulic power units
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong mechanical background and knowledge of die casting and how a casting die operates. You should also be able to obtain MKC forklift and crane certification.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions and Travel Requirements

This role requires working in a heavy manufacturing environment with moderate to noisy conditions. Employees may be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hand protection.

Travel requirements are less than 5%.
