Job OverviewPosition Summary:

In the role of Lead Tax Risk Strategist, you will take charge of identifying, evaluating, and managing tax-related risks throughout the organization. Collaborating with various departments such as finance, legal, and compliance, you will ensure that our tax practices are in line with regulatory standards and internal policies. Your expertise will be vital in protecting the financial integrity and reputation of the company by proactively addressing tax-related challenges.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Tax Risk Evaluation: Assess and analyze tax risks linked to business operations, transactions, and compliance. Formulate effective strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Compliance Oversight: Guarantee adherence to federal, state, and international tax laws. Stay updated on tax legislation changes and evaluate their implications for the organization.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work alongside senior management to devise and execute tax risk management strategies. Offer insights and recommendations to improve the company's tax standing.
  • Audit Coordination: Oversee and manage tax audits, including both internal and external assessments. Prepare necessary documentation and address audit inquiries.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive risk assessment reports and present findings to senior leadership. Identify potential concerns and suggest actionable solutions.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to finance and accounting teams on best practices in tax risk management and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Engage with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies. Build strong relationships to facilitate effective tax risk management.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CTA) are preferred.
  • Professional Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in tax risk management, compliance, or a related area. Experience in a senior or managerial capacity is highly valued.

    • In-depth knowledge of tax legislation and regulations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proven capability to manage complex tax matters and provide strategic insights.
