About the Role

Basis Partners is seeking a talented and motivated Transportation Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing transportation design projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of transportation design principles and practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop transportation projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.
  • Conduct site visits and gather data to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare and present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in quality reviews and ensure compliance with internal and client quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical skills and knowledge through training and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in transportation design.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with the expectation of sitting for the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam in the future.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical writing.
  • Mature interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment.
