Job Title: Transportation Engineering Specialist

STV is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team as a Transportation Engineering Specialist. This role will involve designing and potentially managing successful delivery of transportation infrastructure projects in the Colorado Springs, CO or Denver, CO area or any of our TX locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Evaluate feasibility and impacts of design alternatives.
  • Prepare calculations, technical analyses, reports, and other project-related documents.
  • Independently lead tasks as a part of multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with teammates, clients, teaming partners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Assist with and participate in project pursuits and business development, under the direction of senior staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer License in CO, or ability to obtain within 6 months, is required.
  • Strong experience working with the Colorado DOT, and other regional transportation agencies.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant design experience on highway and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent command of Microstation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D to design and produce plans for transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated technical skills, communication skills, and ability to work within diverse teams.
