Key Responsibilities- Instructional Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver instruction to meet individual and group learning needs, utilizing state guidelines and division curriculum.
- Classroom Management: Maintain order within the classroom and school with proactive classroom management and a well-organized learning environment.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop formative and summative tests, using multiple tools to assess student learning on an ongoing basis, and alter instruction to meet group and individual needs.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate instruction with other staff relative to student learning, and maintain professional manner when interacting with students, parents, patrons, community agencies, and colleagues.
- Professional Development: Stay abreast of current educational trends and best practices as these relate to classroom instruction and effective schools.
- Qualifications: A Virginia or U.S. out-of-state teaching license in the above-mentioned curriculum is required. Applicants with a bachelor's degree with relevant college coursework and passing Praxis test scores are encouraged to apply.
- Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree with relevant college coursework and teaching experience is preferred.
