Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and special inspections in compliance with regulatory authorities and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft and engines, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components and accessories.
  • Complete required work order entries for discrepancies and corrective actions.
  • Perform and troubleshoot structural repairs to airframes, including sheet metal work, riveting, patching, and fiberglass/composite work.
  • Perform standard system troubleshooting, operational and functional checks; oil, fuel, nitrogen, and oxygen services, pitot static systems, and battery services.
  • Understand the operation of various airframe and power plant systems.
  • Ensure calibration of all shop test equipment is accurate by using calibration records and procedures. Report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Perform aircraft engine run and taxi to test system performance. Participate in maintenance operational check flights for system performance, troubleshooting, and alignment.
  • Assist and train other technicians in repair of systems, structures, and engines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • At least three (3) years of aviation maintenance experience
  • Preferred airframe experience on Gulfstream, Global Express, Falcon 900 EASy, Challenger 350, Citation Sovereign, King Air, and similar aircraft
  • Preferred engine experience on BR710, HTF7000, PW306, TFE-731, PT6
  • Proficient and practical knowledge of basic airframe and engine repair
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and aviation software
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certification
  • Ability to attain Love Field Badge
  • Valid Driver's License

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to various weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to loud noise levels in and around their work environment. The physical demands regularly required are to sit for extended periods of time, squat, crawl, climb, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Daily interaction with Clients where tact and consideration are mandatory while maintaining a team effort in customer service.
