Job Description:

As a Senior Conduit Assembler at Powell Industries Inc, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our electrical conduit installations. Your expertise will be essential in adhering to all safety policies and practices, as well as manufacturing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install wiring according to standard work/process instructions
  • Knowledge of electrical code requirements and wiring practices
  • Accurately read schematics
  • Install arc flash fiber optics, communication cables, and transformer cables
  • Demonstrate proficiency with all wiring tools
  • Install switch trailer and capacitor bank cabling
  • Communicate effectively with department leads and supervisors
  • Provide performance feedback to supervisors regarding employees
  • Review engineering prints prior to project release
  • Provide wire estimates for projects
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Constantly stand, work from a ladder, and climb up and down ladders
  • Constantly work overhead and in cramped quarters
Requirements:
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Previous conduit experience with both thick and thin wall conduit
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Basic mathematical skills (fractions, conversions)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Familiarity with common and job-specific tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure and interpret prints
  • Ability to perform basic point-to-point wiring
