Job Summary

Powell Industries is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for installing and assembling electrical devices, conduit, and wiring systems. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong understanding of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and assemble electrical devices, including disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, and battery chargers.
  • Bend and install conduit (EMT and Rigid) and wireway.
  • Pull wire and large cable.
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires.
  • Install wiring according to standard work/process instructions (NEC Manual).
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to bend conduit on a GB Sidewinder style bender (EMT and Rigid).
  • Experience installing cable tray and wire way.
  • Ability to crimp and terminate wires.
  • Ability to read drawings or blue prints.
  • Working knowledge of electricity, circuits, and functions of common components (panel boards, transformers, disconnects, terminal blocks, relays, lighting contactors, etc).
  • Basic exposure to and awareness of NEC.
