Position Overview:
As a Therapeutic Support Specialist, you will engage in foundational duties aimed at supervising individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges. This role is crucial in a residential care environment, where you will assist clients in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight and support to individuals in a group home setting.
  • Implement training objectives and assess individual needs and strengths.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and demonstrate competency in assigned tasks.

Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Experience:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is advantageous.

Work Schedule:
Flexibility in hours is essential, as shift work is necessary to accommodate program requirements.

Licenses and Certifications:
A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must be insurable by agency insurance. Documentation such as a driver's license, social security card, and proof of education will be required during the interview process.

Physical Requirements:
Applicants should be capable of driving, effective communication (both verbal and written), and the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Good computer skills are necessary, and the ability to lift/carry items weighing up to 30 lbs is essential. Candidates must also be able to complete the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) training and meet all other physical requirements for this role.
