About the Role

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Maryview Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care, including vital sign measurement, personal care, and hygiene.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and nurses, reporting changes and concerns.
  • Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
  • Accurately document patient care and participate in hand-off/report of pertinent information.
  • Perform delegated tasks and complete patient rounding and 15-minute patient checks.
  • Provide 1:1 patient safety companion service as needed.
Requirements
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification (American Health Association) or equivalent.
  • State Tested Nursing Aide (STNA) or Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification (preferred).
  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of experience in a mental health or healthcare setting (preferred).
